I've always loved the premise of Fairly Legal. Having a lawyer turn mediator to solve cases before they get to court was original and ripe with potential.?

I also love the cast, especially Sarah Shahi as Kate and Michael Trucco as her almost ex-husband Justin. These two are so charismatic. They have great chemistry and let's face it, they're easy to look at.

But season one of Fairly Legal didn't wow me. As much as I liked the characters the show's stories seemed to lack focus and there were times when Kate's antics made her hard to like. So when I watched the season 2 premiere it was with some trepidation.

Thankfully, "Satisfaction" gave me a lot of what I was looking for. Kate Reed was definitely a little more subdued, heck even her wardrobe was kept to grays and blacks for the first half of the show,? yet she still kept her quirky, fun side.

Her sexy tease as she left the bar while she was mourning the end of marriage gave her an edge. It showed she's down but not out.

I was thrilled that they didn't drag out her firing. We all knew Kate would end up back at Reed & Reed. I'm happy we didn't waste a lot of time getting her there.

The new guy, Ben, was fun and his banter with Kate was entertaining. Ben questioned everything about Kate, from her commitment issues to her boat, right down to her coffee consumption. He better be careful. You don't mess with a girl's coffee.

Although I liked Ben I'm not sold on him as a love interest. I've loved the chemistry between Kate and Justin since the beginning of the show. I believe Justin truly loves her but he can't handle her sometimes immature and erratic behavior.

Of course Justin's no saint, as his confession of a one night stand while they were still married could attest. But Kate's mad dash from the room just seemed to highlight that she's unable to stay and fight for what she wants in her personal life when things get too hard.?

In the hospital, Justin asked if he ever really had all of her and even she wondered if she ever went all in with this relationship.

My biggest pet peeve has been Kate's relationship with Lauren. These two have always been contentious but every time Lauren's put out an olive branch Kate has knocked it out of her hand.

I hope this changes this season. With Reed & Reed struggling it would be great to see these two strong, smart women work to together to save it. We'll have to wait and see.

With Justin's campaign for District Attorney getting started, will that lead him and Kate back together or farther apart?? Would you prefer to see these two work on their marriage or is it time for Kate to move on and if so, should she move on with Ben?

I can't say I loved this premiere but it certainly made me optomistic for the rest of the season. I can only hope for full satisfaction in the weeks to come.

Wisconsin approves recall votes for more Republican senators

MADISON, Wisconsin (Reuters) - Four more Wisconsin Republican state senators, including the Senate leader, will face recall elections this year, bringing the number of state lawmakers forced to campaign in special elections to 40 percent of the entire Senate, officials said.

The state agency that oversees elections agreed unanimously on Monday that enough valid signatures by voters were submitted to require all four senators to face recall votes.

The four lawmakers include Senate President Scott Fitzgerald, a chief architect of a law limiting union powers that was passed last year and that sparked the recall movement.

The date of the votes has not yet been set.

The decision means 13 of the state's 33 senators will have already faced a recall vote or will soon face one since Republican Governor Scott Walker pushed the law through the legislature last March.

Nine state senators faced recall last summer, six Republicans and three Democrats. Two of the Republicans were defeated, leaving the Republicans with a thin 17 to 16 majority in the chamber. The Democrats were challenged because they opposed the union law.

The law championed by Walker stripped unions representing teachers and other state and local government workers of much bargaining power over wages and benefits. It also required public workers to pay more for health insurance and pensions. Republicans said it was needed to restore the financial health of the state.

Outraged union supporters and Democrats vowed to vote the Republicans out of office. They have collected more than one million signatures to recall Walker. They also submitted a recall petition against his lieutenant governor.

The dates for the Senate recall elections have not yet been set in part because the election agency has not completed reviewing the huge volume of signatures seeking Walker's ouster.

The recall movement in Wisconsin has created a toxic partisanship in the state, likely to be a battleground in the 2012 presidential election.

Wisconsin voted for President Barack Obama, a Democrat, in 2008 but then elected Walker and Republican majorities of the legislature in 2010, and ousted a longtime Democratic U.S. senator.

Polls have shown a close vote in any Walker recall vote. If the signatures are verified, Democrats will still have to pick a candidate to face him. So far the best-known Democratic candidate to announce a run for governor is Douglas La Follette, a relative of well-known Wisconsin progressive "Fighting Bob" La Follette who once served at governor and U.S. senator.

Titan Energy to acquire ownership stake in Illinois oil project

Australian oil and gas company Titan Energy Energy has inked an agreement to earn up to an 81% interest in a ready-to-drill hydrocarbon producing prospect in Illinois, the US.

The company will pay $96,000 in lease fees to Pharis Petroleum Corporation for the 160 acre Franklin Prospect project.

Titan Energy will earn the stake by paying 96% of the estimated drilling costs of $225,750 up to the point where production casing is run and cemented.

Titan Energy managing director Stephen Thomas said one of the things that attracted the company to this asset is the shallow targets that are available.

"Additionally, the area has a good record as a consistent, hydrocarbon producer," Thomas said.

"This acquisition, along with our recently announced agreement to acquire an interest in the high impact Allen Dome project in Texas, is a good example of the capabilities that Titan has to acquire quality, international assets to support our Australian projects."

Once the acquisition is completed, Titan Energy will become operator of the Franklin Prospect project.

The company has already contracted Illiana Energy to drill its initial vertical exploration well in the lease area to a depth of 3150 feet in the second quarter of 2012.

Titan plans to complete drilling in the Aux Vases and McClosky zones for a conventional test of the Midyett South Aux Vases sandstone oil reservoir at the western end of the Dale/Thompsonville Oil Field Complex.

The Franklin Prospect project is located in the Midyett South Development Project in Franklin County, Illinois, which is based within the Illinois petroleum structural basin, comprised of southern Illinois, south western Indiana, and western Kentucky.

The basin has produced an estimated 4.5 billion barrels of crude oil from Paleozoic reservoirs.
