Ryan Gosling is his own genre on Time Warner Cable (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) ? It's all Ryan Gosling, all the time on Time Warner Cable's Movies On Demand channel in February. Eight of the Oscar-nominated actor's movies -- including the Oscar-nominated "Drive" -- will air throughout the month.

In fact, the cable company has deemed the actor his own "genre." To watch his movies, viewers go to the Movies On Demand channel, select "By Genre" and click on "Ryan Gosling."

Among the other Gosling movies Time Warner Cable is offering throughout the month: "Crazy, Stupid, Love," "The Ides of March," "Lars and the Real Girl," "Fracture," "The Notebook," "Murder by Numbers" and "Remember the Titans."

Gosling, who was a double Golden Globes Best Actor nominee this year for "The Ides of March" and "Crazy, Stupid, Love," is nominated for a Best Male Lead Independent Spirit Award for his role in "Drive."

Tim Lincecum slims down with swim routine, loses appetite for McDonald?s

Tim Lincecum's bank account may be getting a lot fatter, but the Freak's physique is headed the opposite way. After using 2011 to bulk up in an attempt to gain endurance, Lincecum appeared at the Giants fanfest this past weekend and said he had lost 22 pounds over the winter.

It's kind of hard to believe that Lincecum had 22 pounds to lose in the first place, though not as hard as believing the pitcher's claim that he weighed close to 200 pounds when taking the mound last season.

With the added poundage not providing the benefit he thought it might, Lincecum took to using a counter-current pool to get down to around 175 pounds from 197. He also cut down on his famous trips to In-N-Out while eliminating other outlets entirely.

"You take your first bite of a McDonald's burger and it's like 'Why did I buy this?'" Lincecum said to reporters.

"You feel instantly sick. That's what ended up happening with all these places and why I started eliminating them. I take a bite and I'm like 'I can't even finish this.' So I just started going for stuff that made me feel better. I'm not crushing vegetables by any means, but I'm definitely eating better."

Lincecum said all of this while wearing a hat for Tacolicious, a San Francisco dining phenomenon that relies on local farmers for their ingredients. So perhaps he really is easing his way past the drive-thru routine of an early 20-something.

Speaking of tacos, Lincecum also expressed doubt that Brian Wilson really eats Taco Bell despite endorsing it all of last postseason. But just like gordita enthusiast Justin Verlander, the super-fit Wilson said he's been known to make a run for the border.

"Yeah, I've had Taco Bell," Wilson told Bay Area Sports Guy. "C'mon, I'm human."

Pro-EU Niinisto wins Finnish presidency: early results (Reuters)

HELSINKI (Reuters) ? Pro-Europe politician Sauli Niinisto won Finland's presidency on Sunday in an election that showed voters want to keep the country in the euro zone despite misgivings over European Union bailouts.

The former finance minister won with 63 percent support, defeating pro-euro Greens Party candidate Pekka Haavisto.

The two had beaten anti-euro candidates, Paavo Vayrynen of the Centre party and Timo Soini of the Finns Party, in an earlier round last month.

The weak showing by the eurosceptics was a relief for Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen, who like Niinisto is a member of the National Coalition party which supports conservative economic policy.

Analysts said worries about Europe's debt crisis could drag Finland's export-dependent economy into recession may have persuaded voters to choose a steady and pragmatic pair of hands.

"In tough times people want to believe that somebody is in control of the economy," said University of Helsinki professor Tuomo Martikainen.

Niinisto said Finland was and would remain supportive of European monetary union but that he understood Finnish voters' frustration over the debt crisis.

"The Finnish people have full right to be critical, but at the same time I would like to say that Finland has shown more solidarity than anybody else," he told Reuters.

Niinisto is credited with leading the small Nordic economy towards growth following the collapse of the Soviet Union during his tenure as finance minister from 1996 to 2001.

He is also supportive of tough fiscal reforms that Katainen is pushing in order to plug its deficit and make sure it retains its triple-A debt rating.

"I voted for Niinisto because I think in the current economic situation we need a president who has that kind of expertise," said Katri, a 23-year-old student.

Some analysts had expected a stronger showing by anti-euro candidates, particularly Soini, whose Finns Party made strong gains in parliamentary elections last April and is now the biggest opposition group.

Niinisto and Haavisto may have also benefited from a backlash against eurosceptic politicians after some Finns Party candidates made highly publicised racist and homophobic remarks.

While Haavisto, the first openly gay presidential candidate, conceded with 37 percent, his success in the first round was a triumph for his party - a minor member of government with only 10 out of 200 seats in parliament.

Incumbent President Tarja Halonen was elected as the country's first female president in 2000 and re-elected in 2006. She steps down on March 1 having served the maximum 12 years.
